COLORFUL AND EXPRESSIONISTIC LANDSCAPE PAINTINGS

Jane’s landscapes originate in her mind. They are based on observation and later on memories and experiences. Jane begins with a random blocking of shapes that become trees, a path, a field or a body of water. She builds her paintings in multiple layers of generously applied oil paint. Her evolving composition and her intuitive selection of colors are best defined as a two way conversation between Jane and her painting. They speak and react to each other until they agree the painting is complete.
